WE ARE GOING ON A JOURNEY
-- like Bilbo in the movie, The Hobbit, An Unexpected Journey....
The HOBBIT had his favorite chair, pipe ready. The cupboards and jars were filled. He was ready for a long rest.
GANDALF and the old dwarves come and stir up the house...mess it and said he was going on AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY
BILBO WAS CHOSEN FOR THEIR MISSION
WE, LIKE the hobbit.....were looking at our long rest...retirement but things started
STIRRING in our minds and hearts.... the Holy Spirit ... THE GREAT I AM asked us to go. HE was/is SENDING US on a mission/trip.
OUR MISSION: to serve others, use our gifts for God by
PARTNERING with a mission or missionary anywhere in the world to bring the Good News, Set the Captives Free, to glorify God.
The first trip: is to Alaska Christian College Oct - Dec 20th
VON: will be working in the Administrative offices
WILLIE will be. working in maintenance.
WE BOTH will be mentoring students, leading Bible Studies, helping in areas of worship and Chapel as needed.
> OUR FORMULA:
PREPARE spiritually, physically,. mentally, financially
PARTNER go to mission or missionary more than 3 wks
PROCESS- return home, debrief, evaluate
REPEAT.........
