A Kuspuk is an Alaskan Native piece of clothing. It can be a light fabric garment or parka that is worn in Alaska during the summer or winter (heavier with fur trim). Eskimo women make it in bright prints and wear it over their fur parkas in winter to protect the fur.
My Kuspuk is lightweight and will have a flounce. Mens'
parka's do not have a flounce.
Decorative braid or rick rack is used to trim the garment.
I've just cut out the pattern pieces. Tomorrow I begin sewing. Wish me good fortune as I sew like the wind and try to complete it this week. I'll post new photos later.
